Product Introduction

For dual valve manifolds, blocking and venting versions are standard configurations. Globe valves isolate the process  from measuring instruments such as pressure gauges, switches, or transmitters. By closing this valve, the instrument  can be safely disassembled for calibration or replacement services. The exhaust valve allows for safe exhaust of the  instrument before disassembly or zero point inspection.

The non-rotating spindle tip of the block-and-bleed valve reduces the wear of the sealing elements. This results,  particularly with frequent opening and closing, in a noticeable increase in the service life.

Through the blow-out proof design of the block-and-bleed valve, working safety is improved, especially in applications  with high pressure loading.

On request, WIKA offers the professional assembly of valves and pressure measuring instruments and also other  accessories into a ready-to-install instrument hook-up. To ensure the performance of the complete system, an  additional leak test is carried out on the instrument hook-up.

What is a pressure transmitter used for?

A pressure transmitter converts the pressure of liquid, gas or steam into a standard electrical signal for PLC, DCS, recorder or control instrument input. It is widely used for pipeline pressure, tank level, flow measurement and process safety monitoring.

How do I choose the right pressure transmitter?
