Product Description

The Siemens 7MF4033 is a gauge pressure transmitter from the SITRANS P DS III series, designed for industrial  applications measuring gases, vapors, and liquids. While it is a widely used legacy device, it has been  canceled/discontinued by Siemens and replaced by the SITRANS P320/P420 series.

Technical Specifications

This transmitter is a two-wire device that converts pressure into a standard 4 to 20 mA output signal, often with HART  communication.

Accuracy: Typically

0.075% of the set span, though some variants list $pm$0.1%.

Measuring Spans: Highly adjustable ranges, with common spans including:

9.14 to 914 psi (0.63 to 63 bar).

23.2 to 2320 psi (1.6 to 160 bar).

2.32 to 232 psi (0.16 to 16 bar).

Materials:

Wetted Parts: Stainless steel or optional Hastelloy process diaphragms.

Housing: Die-cast aluminum or precision-cast stainless steel.

Display: Options include a hidden display or a visible digital indicator with a glass-windowed cover.

Protection: Rated for IP65/IP66/IP68; available in general-purpose or explosion-proof (EEx d) versions.5

Pressure Transmitter FAQ

What is a pressure transmitter used for?

A pressure transmitter converts the pressure of liquid, gas or steam into a standard electrical signal for PLC, DCS, recorder or control instrument input. It is widely used for pipeline pressure, tank level, flow measurement and process safety monitoring.

How do I choose the right pressure transmitter?

Confirm the pressure range, pressure type, medium, temperature, output signal, accuracy, installation thread, electrical connection and environmental requirements. For corrosive media, high temperature or sanitary applications, diaphragm material and sealing structure are especially important.

What is the difference between gauge, absolute and differential pressure transmitters?

Gauge pressure transmitters measure pressure relative to atmospheric pressure. Absolute pressure transmitters measure pressure relative to vacuum. Differential pressure transmitters measure the pressure difference between two points and are commonly used for flow, filter and level measurement.

Can Xinyi Instrument provide customized pressure transmitters?

Yes. Xinyi Instrument can support customized pressure ranges, process connections, output signals, cable length, display options and model selection for different industrial applications.
